eighteen Community Media
Consulting principal's
Ryan Duques and James
Warner started their
community newspaper
company, Shore
Publishing. The company
would grow to launch
fourteen and acquire two
community papers.
Shore Publishing built its
systems and expense structure
based on the digital age,
launching with a fully paginated
production department in 1996.
Shore Publishing also developed
a system for acquiring the
coveted US Postal Service
Periodical Requestor permits for
its newspapers, resulting in
lower distribution costs than
its competitors and leading to a
higher bottom line.
