Ryan A. Duques,
Ryan A. Duques was co-publisher
and co-founder of Shore
Publishing, LLC in Madison,
Conn. The group founded fourteen
and acquired two award-winning
weekly newspapers serving every
home and business along two
thirds of the Connecticut
shoreline. For the company
Duques was head of news
operations, circulation, US
Postal Service management and
classified advertising.
Duques is a graduate of the
Isenberg School of Management at
the University of Massachusetts
Amherst where he earned his
bachelor degree in Operations
Management.

He is also a US Postal Forum
designated Periodicals
Professional.
Duques is active on several
local boards of directors
including Vista Vocational, Inc,
E.C. Scranton Library and is
President of the Madison Chamber
of Commerce. He is also on the
board of the Suburban Newspapers
of America. Duques previously
served on the board of
corporators for the Guilford
Savings Bank.
Duques is a commissioner on the
Town of Madison Economic
Development Commission.
Duques has been recognized as
the top Forty under Forty by the
New Haven Business Times, the
small business of the year by
Business New Haven and in
Entrepreneur Magazine, the New
York Times, Rolling Stone
Magazine and many industry
publications.

James A. Warner
James Warner was the co-founder
and publisher of Shore
Publishing, a south central
Connecticut newspaper group
covering local events, community
news, high school and regional
sports, classifieds, and all the
arts and entertainment of the
area.
Shore Publishing owned 16
newspapers until June 2006 at
which time 9 of the eastern
zoned papers were sold to the
New London Day. |

The
coverage area of the newspaper
group spanned every town from
East Haven all the way into
Westerly, RI, with total
circulation topping 160,000
every Thursday. It had quickly
grown into the second largest
weekly newspaper group in
Connecticut. Mr. Warner was head
of advertising, finance, and
production for the company.
Since Shore Publishing’s
founding in 1994, Mr. Warner has
worked closely with the
different organizations in his
circulation area. Mr. Warner’s
community involvement has
included the Board of Directors
of the Quinnipiac Chamber of
Commerce, Board of Directors of
the East Haven Chamber of
Commerce, Board of Directors of
the Branford Chamber of
Commerce, and served as
Treasurer and past Vice
President of the Board of
Directors of the Guilford
Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Warner has also served on
the board of directors of the
Branford Mentoring program, the
New Haven Angel Fun, Harbor
Health Services, and The
Shoreline Arts Alliance.
Mr. Warner has been recognized
for his activities by being
named Small Business Person of
the year by Business New Haven,
40 Under 40 by Business Times,
and has been recognized in
Entrepreneur Magazine, the New
York Times, Hartford Courant,
and Editor and Publisher.
